Playa Langosta
Some folks insist on Langosta as their point of attack on Costa Rica. It’s minutes from Tamarindo, walking distance for the motivated, but far enough away that the party won’t keep you awake.
Langosta offers good waves for more advanced surfers, but also has a quiet estuary for families to hang out. Not only that, south of the estuary is a lovely stretch of beach rarely occupied, perfect for long walks during low tide.
When the tide is in, there’s another walk to the north, which is also serene. There is a small grocery, and a couple of restaurants in Langosta, in case you feel too sunbaked to hit Tamarindo.
Peninsula
There are two towers in Playa Langosta, one of which is the Peninsula. It’s six stories of views and resort-style living.
Most of the units in Peninsula are privately owned by investors who either rent their condos to vacationers or keep them for their own vacations. Either way, you can anticipate there won’t be too many neighbors.
The building offers amenities one doesn’t find in every Tamarindo vacation rental. There’s a long pool on the ground floor, which comes with a fully equipped entertainment area.
There you’ll find a nice big grill, sink, prep counter, and dining table. It’s big enough to accommodate more than one party, which makes for some nice communal interaction. It’s perfect for families or for those who want to feel like family. That what Peninsula does.
Oh yeah, there also a workout room, complete with free weights, cables, stability equipment, and cardio of those who never take a vacation from their health.
Last thing… there’s round the clock security at Peninsula.

So why is it twice the fun? Condo 53 has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and even two sinks in one of the bathrooms. Spend enough time in this unit, and you’ll see perfect pairs everywhere, like how it pairs with your heart.
For some, the kitchen in 53 will be more than what they need, more than what they have a home. That’s okay. It’s a modern design, outfitted with stainless steel appliances, and stone countertops.
When you need a spot to crash for the afternoon, throw yourself on the sectional and watch some TV on the big flat panel TV. You’ll have everything you need to relax, cable TV, wifi, and a hot tub in the master bedroom.
